Today National Engineer day -Engineers play a vital role in the development of a nation. Countries around the world celebrate Engineer's Day to appreciate the contribution of engineers. In India, we celebrate National Engineer's Day on September 15, the birth anniversary of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, who is considered one of the finest engineers of the country.

 He was awarded as Bharat Ratna, he was born on 15^th Sept -1861, to a Telugu family at Chikkballapur, Karnataka. His parents were well known Sanskrit Scholars. He had done Civil engineering Degree from the Collage of Engineering in Pune.

1.       Greatest Engineer

2.       19^th Diwan of Mysore 1912 to 1919.

3.       Awarded as highest honor, The Bharat Ratna in 1955

4.        The engineering day not only celebrate in India but also in Sri Lanka & Tanzania

5.       He was an expert in irrigation technique and flood disaster management

6.       He was the architect of the Krishnaraja Sagar Dam, One of the biggest Dams in India

 

 

 

આજે રાષ્ટ્રીય એન્જિનિયર ડે -એન્જિનિયર્સ રાષ્ટ્રના વિકાસમાં મહત્વપૂર્ણ ભૂમિકા ભજવે છે. ઇજનેરોના યોગદાનની પ્રશંસા કરવા માટે વિશ્વભરના દેશો એન્જિનિયર ડેની ઉજવણી કરે છે. ભારતમાં, આપણે 15 સપ્ટેમ્બરના રોજ રાષ્ટ્રીય ઇજનેર દિવસની ઉજવણી કરીએ છીએ, દેશના સર્વશ્રેષ્ઠ ઇજનેરોમાં ગણાતા મોક્ષગુંદમ વિશ્વેશ્વરાયની જન્મજયંતિ.

તેમને ભારત રત્ન તરીકે સન્માનિત કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા, તેનો જન્મ 15 સપ્ટેમ્બર -1861 ના રોજ કર્ણાટકના ચિકલબલાપુર ખાતે તેલુગુ પરિવારમાં થયો હતો. તેના માતાપિતા સંસ્કૃત વિદ્વાન વિદ્યા હતા. તેણે પૂણેમાં કોલેજ ઓફ એન્જિનિયરિંગથી સિવિલ એન્જિનિયરિંગની ડિગ્રી કરી હતી..
